Anti-Aging Telomerase Activation
74Incredibly exciting scientific discoveries have been taking place in the past few years in the field of anti-aging. For the first time ever a natural compound has been discovered that activates the enzyme telomerase in the human body. The compound is called TA-65. Telomerase activation is an exciting new field of research that has huge implications for the future lifespan of humans.
The Role of Telomerase and Anti-Aging
The Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine was awarded in 2009, to Carol Greider and Elizabeth Blackburn for their discovery of telomerase in 1984. Telomerase is an enzyme that is responsible for anti-aging in humans.
Our chromosomes are paired strands of DNA. At the end of each DNA strand are stretches of proteins called Telomeres. Telomeres are like caps at the end of the DNA strands. When the genetic copying of our cells takes place, Telomeres are like white space in the copying process. They prevent errors in the duplication of the cells. However, every time a cell divides a very small portion of the telomere does not get copied. As the telomeres shrink, the ability of the cells to divide without errors begins to play out.
- Telomerase Anti-Aging
The enzyme telomerase replenishes telomeres. Telomerase activation in the human body is a requirement for anti-aging or life extension treatments. - Telomerase Activity | Anti-Aging
The Nobel Prize was awarded for the discovery of how chromosomes are protected by telomeres and the enzyme telomerase. Telomerase activity is a key component of anti-aging treatment.
Some refer to telomeres as age counters or markers. It is somewhat like a biological clock ticking down. Many scientists believe that this is what imposes our limit on human lifespan. The agreed limit currently on the human lifespan is 125 years.
Telomerase Enzymes Stop Telomeres From Shrinking
It has been proven that the enzyme telomerase can halt the shrinking of telomeres. Telomerase activation has also shown to lengthen some telomeres. This is what is so exciting. The discovery of an enzyme which halts or even lengthens the telomeres is essentially the start of a cure for aging.
The natural compound TA65 has been proven to activate the human bodies production of telomerase. TA65 is not strong enough to completely arrest the aging process in humans, but it has been shown to lengthen the shortest telomeres in humans. It is the first telomerase activator that is safe for humans.
The ability of TA-65 supplement to lengthen and halt shrinking telomeres, gives it the potential to extend human health span and human lifespan.
Does the human body naturally produce the enzyme Telomerase?
Every human has the gene which makes it possible to produce telomerase. However, the gene is switched off. TA65 can cause telomerase to become active in humans. It is this telomerase activation that replenishes the telomeres. For many years, companies and scientists have been searching for the key to switch the gene on. One company, Geron Corporation has been studying this since 1990. They are part of a group that are responsible for the development of TA-65. Together with Sierra Sciences, TA Sciences, PhysioAge and the Spanish National Cancer Research Center, TA 65 was developed.

Thanks for your specific and clear answer to my question. Glad to hear there's research in progress to inhibit telomerase expression in cancer cells, and that if the research is successful it may make it easier to kill the cancer cells in the body.
I look forward to reading more of your hubs.
Hi, enjoyed your article. Hope to see more like this in the future. Cheers!

Very informative article about a topic I was unaware of.
Are there any studies that suggest telomerase also inhibits cancer?
